Book Review: The China Study

The China Study by T Collin Campbell is a landmark book detailing the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, and its starting implications for diet, weight loss and long term health.
A world-class researcher, Dr Campbell originally started out doing researching the benefits of a high protein diet for MIT and Virginia Tech. When he was posted to the Philippines to work on a project involving malnourished children, he was amazed to discover that the children who ate the highest protein diets were the most likely to get liver cancer. His subsequent research project culminated in a 20-year partnership with Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine in a survey of diseases and lifestyle factors in rural China in what came to be known as The China Study. This project eventually produced more than 8,000 statistically significant associations between various dietary factors and disease.
If you are interested in finding out the amazingly simple secret to how you can lead an optimum life, this is a must-add to your library.
